Welcome to our Community Project of 2017 (you can see our last one in 2014 here)!
We propose to do a series of – fun and lightearted – interviews which help us learn a bit more about our awesome community, and hopefully unravel some juicy details about our readers.
If you would like to get involved, contact us
Thanks for doing our little interview! Can you introduce yourselves?
Hi, my names Hunni. I love WoW, collecting pets and can normally be seen dancing around Dalaran being the purple momma bear to The Usual Suspects.
Hello, my name is Forrseti That sounds like dome kind of Italian super car! (aka Svallin since I now main a Paladin…). I too love WoW, mostly not collecting pets and hearing the cats of The Usual Suspecrs so we can kill bosses fairly regularly.
Can you share a pic of you together?
How long have you been together and where did you meet?
H – we’ve been together for 3 and a bit years. We initially met through WoW… Forrs was my new Raid Leader, we got into the guild when our previous leader left.
F – as above, just to add we doesn’t met in person during the Blizzcon on Thames event that Hunni and a few others organised. This sounds amazing, sign us up for the next one!
Can you show us a picture of your set up?
Hunni on the left, Forrs on the right.
So, do you tend to play the same games together, or prefer to keep gaming life separate?
H – we normally play WoW together, we also enjoy some other games, for example: Overwatch and Borderlands. We do also have others we play separately, just so we don’t drive each other crazy.
F – we like to play a lot together, but I seem to have a taste for games that I don’t think Hunni ‘gets’ – like Cities Skyline and Planet Coaster. Also, there needs to be more Co-Op games… Borderlands is awesome.
H – I agree with that last part, there really does need to be more Co-Op games like Borderlands!!
With the current political situation, it’s only right we ask your affiliation… HORDE OR ALLIANCE?
H – I am currently Alliance, but I do have a secret Horde side as my first character was Horde!
F – Alliance! YES MY FRIEND /fistbump Also, former Horde which most Alliance players seem to be…I do miss Old Orgrimmar. BOO!
Spill the beans… what’s the activity you like to do together the most? GAMING ACTIVITY… naughty!!
H – haha, honestly we do a lot of quests together which sometimes isn’t fun, more of a necessity. I do like levelling with Forrs when he isn’t rushing through content. I hate this about levelling with Mr B too… He never stops to enjoy it!
F – I do enjoy our raiding together and when we are chewing through World Quests. We have a nice weekend morning ritual where we make some breakfast and play through some WoW as we eat.
As a couple, do you find gaming hobby helps your relationship?
H – personally, I think it has. It gives us some common ground and a hobby we both enjoy and can discuss at an annoying length. I also feel tanking together in raids has helped us become better at communicating with each other. This is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. I reckon you should copyright it and sell it as a therapy thing. Genius!!!
F – ageed really. It’s the anchor in our relationship – we met because we are gamers – it will always be the thing that brought us together.
*ahem* who rides who on the two seater mount?
H – that’s definitely my job!
F – your trusty steed awaits…
Who is the raid leader in your relationship?
H – hmm, tricky, neither of us are great at the decisions, our joint favourite phrase is “I don’t mind/whatever you like”, but I’ll probably have to say Forrs…
F – she’s the boss. Amazing how many blokes say that……
What’s been the biggest bust up whilst gaming together?
H – sometimes I get a bit mardy when we tank together as Forrs puts on his Raid Leader hat and tells me what to do, which I’m not keen on :p
F – no real dispute from my POV. Do what I say and all is well… 😉
One of you has to kill 100 kobolds and one has to collect the 100 shiny beads they drop. Who does which task and why?
H – Forrs will do the killing. I’ll do the collecting – he kills as he’d kill them quicker and as a Druid I can loot in flight form.
F – yup, that sums it up. I love maxing my DPs as a tank and Hunni is adept at collecting things… being a Druid and all!
Where do you see your future in gaming?
H – I imagine I’ll stick around WoW for a while, but other than that I imagine we will keep gaming together in some form, as I know we both enjoy it more than say, watching TV all evening.
F – those who game together, stay together! 😀
The million pound question: you’re farming a rare mount. Neither of you has it. It drops… who gets it?!
H – I’ll give it to Forrs as he collects mounts more than I do! If it were a pet mind you, I’d keep it no questions asked 😀
F – if it was Mimi’s Head, then its mine. Otherwise, all hers.
Find Hunni and Forrseti on twitter. Also their lovely guild, The Usual Suspects is here.
Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself, Hunni and Forrseti – Nice to meet you. 🙂 That weekend morning ritual sounds awesome!
All of these interviews have been great and it helps to get to know the people that are around you in-game. Nice project and I think it has been marvelous. 😀
Thank you! We have certainly enjoyed putting names to faces!
