Z and Cinder’s Blog Challenge #17

Best dressed

I’m behind with this as I really wanted to build an awesome mog to show off, but I haven’t had the time (read: been having too much fun in current content) to do it. So, I’ll show you a couple of favourites. These are are all available to view plus *many* more… Look on the subcategories on the right of the screen where there are many mogs from ages past (I will be updating these as we transmog after gearing).

Most of these are monk mogs actually… I seem to enjoy mogging her more than my Mage, which is strange as I play the mage way more. Perhaps it suits the monk’s character?!

This was built especially for The Tweeters Guild. Love those shoulders.

Lou wore this for nearly the whole of MoP. I think the belt and cloak matchyness was my favourite.

Monk healing set. So purdy.

Go-to drood set. Haven’t changed it since she was created. I love the flowers blooming on the staff.

Fairly standard leather set here, but with the awesome weapons.

Another favourite. I think it’s the tabard here that I really love… with the accessories of the headband and belt.

And just for fun… my witches outfit 😀

She’s already shown you loads, so here’s one of my favourites.

Look at that badassery. Such a dude.

All of mine are also under the subcategories on the right. Enjoy!

A slave to fashion.

My monk has been after a new mog for a long time. She is currently Windwalker (you can see her Mistweaver set here) and doesn’t really like wearing a dress when she’s spinning and kicking.

Usually, she loves to wear the clothes of her ancestors (although this set now has a staff and new gloves). Here is this set, which she’s been in for many many months:

But her new cloak didn’t match this, so she changed into her badass set (item set, with a change from one-handers to staff, here):

However, she’s decided that every Monk and Rogue on Doomhammer seems to be wearing this and she doesn’t want to be *that* kind of Panda. So… what to wear?

This is one option, as she really likes the tabard she got from an event:

But this doesn’t really match the cloak proc at all! So, then she thought about this one, which uses the guild tabard which she likes a LOT.

I’d really appreciate your views and suggestions, if you have any!

Five Fashionista Minutes with Mrs B

Well hello! It’s been a while since I last shared a transmog, and this one even has a story to it!

My Monk is currently working on the (long-lived) Legendary quest line. She’s been on it for months, but after getting it on my Mage, I swore off LFR forever. However, I recently decided to finish it off and went back into LFR… for all of 7minutes before I revolted at the 45minute queue.

Naturally, I then respecced healer (of which I have NO idea) and decided that my beautifully modelled Timeless Isle brown crap looked so awful I had to change it. Of course, I had little to hand (and no intention of grinding a set for something I’ll drop ASAP), but I’m pleasantly surprised at what I put together with things I had lying around.

Weapons were a little trickier, but the new sword I just got looks pretty good – as long as you ignore my crafted off-hand ^^

Five Fashionista Minutes with Mrs B

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a transmog post (that doesn’t involve a blog challenge), and with it being #MonkWeek, it’s perfect timing, so I thought I’d update you all with my latest Monk mog. I went with a twist on the Nightstalker set and even though I haven’t got the weapon drop that I want off Malygos yet, I LOVE IT!

Item List

Shoulders – Mantle of the Unforgiven

Chest: Chestguard of No Remorse

Hands: Gloves of the Unbound

Waist: Crystallized Girdle

Legs: Leggings of the Unrepentant

Feet: Polar Boots

Weapons: Wrathful Gladiator’s Slicer

This was quite a time consuming mog to grind for – I relied on drops from HC instances which you can only run once a day. The weapons are easy as they’re justice-based, plus the boots which can be made by a leather worker. I also have a couple of head pieces to put on, but I’m not convinced I want them yet. Still… let me know what you think!

UPDATE

I’ve got some more swords (Phantom Blade) for this mog, which I think I prefer!

This post concludes #MonkWeek, but for more transmog posts for all our toons, remember to check out the links on the right hand side of the page!

Alt Appreciation – Monk Week!

You’re not going to hear a lot from me this week, unfortunately.

Aviary Photo_130212007187705410

That’s my Monk. He’s 90. Has been for weeks and weeks. Find it extraordinarily boring. Why don’t you use weapons to fight? What kind of witchcraft is THAT?? Look at it… it’s not even badass. Meh.

Ok well I absolutely, irrevocably, unfalteringly, ADORE my monk. LOOK HOW AWESOME SHE IS. This is Burquette, my Windwalker Monk.

In the past year or so of playing, I have made sure to try as many different classes as possible, with different roles and different races. I’ve quite enjoyed some of them (especially healers for some reason), however… this toon is in a category all by herself. If I have a crappy day at work, or a bad DPS day on my main, or need a bit of revitalisation, I always come back to her.

Perhaps it’s the first melée character I rolled, but I find the playstyle really fun too. Jabbing here and spinning there. Talking about spinning…

Anyway, I really enjoyed the Panda starting zone and I love the Pandaren models too. I find the Chi thing easier than the Rogue combo points to master too, and although I’m not much good at DPS, I love every minute. I really wanted to make her my main, but I play my Mage much better – probably because I know the class better – so I’m just keeping her as my main alt at the moment. I find I have pretty good survivability as well, which is definitely needed as melée playing takes a certain amount of skill and situational awareness… neither are skills that I have in abundance.

Lots of pink writing today, I have the mog shown above to share with you all later in the week, so Ciao for now!

Five Fashionista Minutes

Following on from our epic couple of weeks levelling, where I pretty much had my transmog already planned for my panda, here is our little duo rocking their new clothes:
